National Events
The Property Council of Australia hosts a full calendar of over 350 events nationwide every year, attracting over
50,000 members and guests. These include division lunches, conferences, forums, site tours and awards ceremonies
designed to inform, educate, celebrate, inspire and provide members with quality networking opportunities to
generate new business.
Our events help communicate the ideas and policies that shape the Property Council's advocacy work, providing our
members the opportunity to discuss those issues most important to them. All sectors - commercial, residential,
retirement, retail, industrial and capital markets - are represented in our dynamic programs.
Our events also highlight and celebrate the leading economic and social contribution the property industry makes
throughout Australia. We recognise innovation and world-leading best practice in the work our members do.
Our delegates include institutional investors, developers, builders, planners, government and property professionals
from all states and territories.
The Property Congress

The Property Congress is the Property Council’s premier annual national event and has featured on our event calendar
for over 40 years.
The event addresses the big issues driving property development and investment in Australia and globally. The
Property Congress brings together established and emerging leaders in the property industry. Attendees are
active participants in the commercial, residential, retail, industrial, development, retirement living and
investment sectors of the industry.

Property Leaders' Summit

The Property Council’s Property Leaders’ Summit is an exclusive, invitation-only event that connects the top 150 CEOs
and investment decision makers from around the globe with the political leadership.
Held in Canberra, this flagship industry event brings together international and domestic leaders from the property
and investment sectors and key politicians to discuss the future of the industry, investment, the economy and
capital markets.

This exciting invitation only event brings
together the nation’s parliamentary leaders with decision makers spanning the entire spectrum of the property
industry. Industry legends are honoured each year and inducted into The Australian Property.

National Retirement Living Summit

The National Retirement Living Summit connects senior leaders, retirement living staff and representatives from
related industries to discuss trends, initiatives and opportunities in the sector. The Summit is the biggest and
most anticipated annual event devoted entirely to retirement living sector.
The Summit hosts the National Retirement Living Awards which recognise high achievement across all areas of the
retirement living sector, by people and companies helping ensure senior Australians have an enjoyable retirement.
Winners are recognised in eight categories.
The Program is designed in close collaboration with the industry to provide invaluable discussion and training on new
trends and best practice.

Innovation & Excellence Awards

The National Innovation & Excellence Awards is one of the most prestigious property awards programs in Australia,
promoting excellence in design and innovation in the built environment since 1982. The Property Council of Australia
aims to showcase superior examples of iconic projects in property development and investment across a broad range of
sectors and design disciplines.

International Study Tours
To further strengthen our public policy thought leadership, the Property Council has extended our event reach
internationally. Building on the professionalism of our domestic events, our international study tours are designed
to inform, educate, inspire and provide members with quality networking opportunities to generate new business.
International cities and tour themes are selected through extensive consultation with our members to deliver
unparalleled professional development learnings relevant to the opportunities and challenges faced by the Australian
property industry.
In 2018 we took delegates to New York (20-27 July 2018) and in 2019, we took our delegates to Singapore (17-22 March
2019) and London (19-26 July 2019).Due to COVID-19, the 2020 Study Tours were cancelled and the study tour program
will be reviewed and relaunched in future years.

Future Cities Summit

Future Cities Summit is a one-day conference exploring the theme of creating great places and thriving cities
for people. First held in Sydney on 24 May 2019, the Summit explored innovation, disruption and the progress we are
making to leave a legacy for the next generation and beyond.
Through our thought-leaders and local and global case studies, we investigated how creating great places is fuelled
by the economy, infrastructure, people and leadership.
Due to COVID-19, Future Cities Summit 2020 was cancelled and the
event will be reviewed and relaunched in future years.
