Yeronga TAFE PDA
Economic Development Queensland (EDQ) declared the former Yeronga TAFE site a Priority Development Area (PDA)
on the 10 August 2018.
The PDA is approximately 3-hectares and includes parts of Villa Road and Park Road. The remaining 2-hectares of land that previously made up the TAFE site has been gained by YerongaState High School, to allow for future demand and development.
The site has been identified as a key economic development area. The declaration of a PDA allows a streamlined planning and development framework under EDQ to unlock economic activity and facilitate development.
While the PDAs development scheme is being prepared, development within the site will be regulated under the Interim Land Use Plan (ILUP).
The decision to approve the Yeronga PDA follows the Property Council’s ‘Six Sites Report, Redevelopment of Surplus Government Land to Stimulate the Queensland Economy 2017’
, which made the business case for development on the site.
