Property Council thanks Lucy Turnbull AO
The Property Council today commended Lucy Turnbull AO on her tenure as Chief Commissioner of the Greater Sydney Commission and thanked her for her leadership in creating the Metropolis of Three Cities for Sydney.
“Lucy has been a strong leader in creating and implementing a new approach for how we plan and develop our growing city and identifying the central city as the focus for future growth,” Property Council NSW Executive Director Jane Fitzgerald said today.
“The Greater Sydney Commission’s Region and District Plans provide a roadmap for future growth for our city and are now informing how councils design their own local plans.
“These central pieces of work have been complemented by new and important approaches to how we plan for infrastructure in growing areas and make our cities more accessible and safer for women.
“Lucy has also been particularly supportive of the Property Council’s Girls in Property program and has always made herself available to speak to young women considering a career in property.
“We warmly welcome Geoff Roberts AM to the position of Chief Commissioner. Geoff has been central to the development of much of the Greater Sydney Commission’s work in his role as Economic Commissioner and Deputy Chief Commissioner and has been an important bridge between the industry, community and the Commission’s work.
“We have no doubt Geoff will take the Greater Sydney Commission to new heights and with CEO Sarah Hill, lead new and influential approaches to how we plan and develop our great city.”
