Northern Queensland -
When it rains, it pours
As the great
Bob Marley said "Sun is shining, the weather is sweet now"
and these famous lyrics mirror the fantastic development
proposals set in place for North Queensland, as presented at
the April Future Directions event on Thursday evening.
Glenys Schuntner, Chief Executive Officer, Townsville
Enterprise, presented key Northern Queensland developments
including major ports, mariners and commercial districts.
Gavin Duane , Director Client Services, MapInfo, gave a
detailed analysis of the current state of the North
Queensland market including the influx of visitors to the
area .The amount of capital being invested in the area is
staggering for such a relatively small however quickly
expanding population.
Coffey Projects Regional Manager QLD & NT, David Mason,
finished the formalities of the evening, detailing Coffey's
current interest in the area including the supervision /
project management of the Cairns Airport Expansion.
The Future Direction’s: young people in property committee
would like to thank Glenys, Gavin and David for taking the
time out of their respective busy schedules to provide an
insight into the Northern Queensland Property Industry.
All attendees from this event will definitely need to be
packing rain coats when we travel north from now on. But for
good reason, as it seems a lot of young property
professionals will be working in the Northern Queensland
area in the future.
Congratulations to Ben Koop from Jones Lang LaSalle, winner
of a bottle of Nicholas Feuillatte French Champagne.
