YPA - The
Opportunity
The ACT Young Professional Alliance (YPA) is seeking three motivated
people to assist in the development and leadership of the YPA. Each
position would have a different focus for a period of three months,
and then rotated to provide the opportunity to develop new skills,
contacts and experiences.
At the end of 2007, one of the Deputy Chairs would have the
opportunity to stand for endorsement by the member organisations as
the next YPA Chair to lead the organisation through 2008.
The Deputy Chairs would be responsible for publicity, sponsorship
and promotion, managing stakeholder relationships, and event
organisation and development. Working closely with the YPA Chair,
Phillip Jones, the deputies would be receive the benefits of a boost
in their professional profile, networks and experience.
The positions are unpaid, but offer significant opportunities for
career and personal development. A commitment of a couple of hours a
week would be required, including attending member events and YPA
meetings.

Please note that committee members of YPA member organisations are
not eligible to apply for these positions due to the commitment of
time that would be required.
