Ray Quartararo

Mr. Quartararo is the Northeast Regional Manager of Jones Lang LaSalle’s Project and Development Services group and an International Director of the global real estate services firm. He manages more than 200 project management professionals and oversees project management assignments in excess of 10 million square feet and $3 billion in construction value annually. Mr. Quartararo has been directly involved with projects such as the new Bank of America Building at One Bryant Park, the renovation and energy retrofit of the Empire State Building, and major projects for Deloitte, Verizon, Citigroup, MetLife, the Interpublic Group of Companies, WPP and Madison Square Garden.

Mark Beattie

Mark leads the Australian business as Managing Director.  He has steered the firm to a multi disciplined company delivering eight distinct but complementary service lines through eleven offices across Australia. Complementing this Australian leadership role Mark is a member of the Davis Langdon Global Board where development of the business across its five global regions is overviewed  In both Australian and international roles, Mark has prioritised company research and knowledge building around sustainability issues.
 

Pippa Connolly

  Pippa Connolly is a structural engineer  and Principal in the buildings group in Melbourne, Australia.  She joined the firm in 1987 in London as a graduate and since then has worked in Arup offices around the globe.
Pippa currently leads buildings sustainability across the Buildings Group in Melbourne and is committed to working with clients to reach solutions which are “future- proofed”. Her work encompasses every aspect of sustainability as it relates to building engineering design and is one of the key people involved in producing the “Existing Buildings/Survival Strategies – a toolbox for re-energising tired assets” book for the Property Council of Australia and is also currently involved in finalising the follow on book around the business case on the same subject.
 

 David Cooke

David is a Director of the Hames Sharley Adelaide office. He brings with him experience in both architecture and urban design projects, ranging in size and complexity. David is accredited as a Green Star Professional with the Green Building Council of Australia and is also the chair of the Property Council’s Sustainable Development committee. David’s knowledge and passion for architecture and design coupled with his awareness of ESD principals are obvious in his work.
 

Rob Doak

Rob Doak is an architect with 25 years experience, mostly involving large projects such as major retail centres and mixed-use developments. He has worked across Australia both in consultancy and for developers, including Lend Lease and Stockland, where he currently master plans retail and new town centres.
He has a detailed understanding of building regulations gained through serving on the Institute of Architects building regulations committee during the introduction of the Building Code of Australia, and through developing alternate solutions for complex building projects.  Rob's a member of the Property Council Regulation Review Roundtable, and has reviewed the draft DDA Access Standards, assessing the implications for Stockland’s commercial property portfolio.

Nicholas Ferrara

Nicholas Ferrara is a Registered Architect with over twenty-five years of experience in the design, construction and management of commercial, industrial and shopping centre facilities.  His experience covers the management of projects, from conception to handover phases. 
Nick has specialist expertise in strategic facility management including Total Asset Management Planning, facilities planning, code compliance, design management, technical due diligence, contract administration and fire engineering.

Peter Johnson

  Fellow

Peter joined Arup at the end of 1995, and after a year spent co-leading Arup Fire in London, he returned to Australia to start the Arup fire engineering practice. Peter is now the Global Leader of the Fire Practice in Arup. He is also one of the two Australasian members of the Global Consulting Sector Board. In recent years, Peter has been involved in a wide range of building and infrastructure projects, but more particularly in rail rolling stock, stations and tunnels, airports and road tunnel projects. He also has a strong interest in sustainability and is currently helping the strategic co-ordination of Arup's energy services across Australasia.
In the wider profession, Peter is a Fellow on the Institution of Engineers, Australia, a Fellow of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers, and the current President of the Australian Fire Protection Association.

Stephen Mee

 Stephen has been a Rider Levett     Bucknall National Director since 2001 and his previous duties included establishing and operating the Newcastle office for five years.
Stephen has over 25 years experience in quantity surveying being involved in Cost Management of numerous and varying types of projects ranging in value from $250,000 to $1 Billion.

His professional and project experience is significant and diverse, he has cost planned in Los Angeles and provided major post contract for the ANA Hotel Sydney ($225m).  Stephen was responsible for the cost control of the construction management process for the $14m earthquake restoration of Christ Church Cathedral, Newcastle.

Katherine Morris

 Katherine is a Senior Associate in the Workplace Relations Group. She specialises in advising and representing clients on work related health and safety legislative issues, having advised and represented clients on the full range of industrial, employment and discrimination matters for 10 years.
Katherine assists clients with strategic advice on improving safety performance through to reducing exposure to corporate and personal liability and the defence of WorkCover prosecutions. She has worked across a wide range of high safety risk industry sectors including transport (particularly rail and road), construction, engineering, and property management.
